This fall, I got to photograph Brookelynn, a 2025 senior from Calallen ISD who’s absolutely killing it in softball. She’s heading to UTSA next year to join their softball team, which is no surprise because this girl has serious talent! Beyond the field, Brookelynn has the sweetest, most easygoing personality, and spending an evening capturing her senior portraits was just so much fun.
Our session took place one lovely evening at Heritage Park in Corpus Christi, a location I love for its beautiful historic charm. This was my second time photographing here, and it always feels like a fresh canvas. Brookelynn brought her own spark to every shot, filling the frames with her joyful personality and radiant confidence. She was an absolute natural in front of the camera, open to every idea I had and even adding her own creative spin—capturing her energy and spirit was such a collaborative joy!
Adding to the magic, Brookelynn’s mom, Meredyth, joined us for the session. As full-time teachers at the same school, Meredyth and I share a unique bond, and watching her interact with Brookelynn made this shoot especially meaningful. The love and mutual respect between them was beautiful to witness, and Brookelynn’s warm, outgoing nature is a clear reflection of her mom. About halfway through, Brookelynn’s dad arrived with her adorable dog, who instantly stole the show. Capturing some candid shots of Brookelynn with her fur baby was such a highlight, adding even more personality to her session.
Brookelynn’s vibrant energy and positive spirit shine both on and off the field, and I can’t wait to see where her journey takes her. I feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of this special moment, capturing memories for a family as close-knit and kind as hers. Thank you, Brookelynn, for a wonderful shoot.
