I’m so excited to share part two of Brookelynn’s senior portrait journey with me—this time, we took things back to where it all started for her: the softball field at Calallen High School.
If you’ve been following along, you might remember our first session together at Heritage Park last fall. (If not, you can catch up here.) That shoot was filled with golden light, natural charm, and so much personality. From the moment I met Brookelynn, I knew she was something special—strong, kind, and so easy to photograph.
This time, we captured the heart of her senior year—softball, school spirit, and the exciting road ahead. We started in front of Calallen High School for some traditional cap and gown shots, which felt extra meaningful on the campus where she’s made so many memories. Then we headed over to the field where she’s truly made her mark as shortstop for the back-to-back state champion Calallen Lady Cats. (Yes, you read that right—they’re on the hunt for a threepeat!)
At the field, we mixed in all the looks: cap and gown on the diamond, game-day intensity in full softball gear, and some proud photos in her new UTSA Roadrunners swag. Brookelynn will be playing D1 softball next year, and let me tell you—UTSA is getting a fierce competitor and a wonderful young woman.
We finished off the session with a fun little twist—some glam prom portraits on home plate and in the dugout. Because why not end senior year with a little sparkle and grit?
The weather was picture-perfect (with a side of wind, thanks to that classic Corpus Christi breeze… not always a photographer’s best friend!). But we rolled with it, laughed through it, and captured some gorgeous, windswept moments that felt totally real and full of energy.
Brookelynn’s mom, Meredith, came along again and was such a huge help throughout the session. She’s the kind of mom who supports every step while letting her daughter shine. My daughter even tagged along as my mini-assistant—watching her help carry gear and peek through the lens made my heart full. These are the kinds of shoots I’ll never forget.
Brookelynn, I’ve loved getting to know you through both of your sessions. You carry yourself with quiet confidence and determination, and it shows in every photo. I cannot wait to watch you crush it at UTSA—and I’ll definitely be cheering you on from the sidelines.
So proud of you, girl!
